Bookings for the Ely Scout Centre on St John’s Road are managed by 1st Ely Scouts.

The hall is available for bookings during the daytime and at weekends, as well as during the school holidays. The hall is in use for groups each weekday evening during school term times, so there is generally no availability for hire on a Monday-Friday evening unless during school holidays.

The hall is used by interest groups & societies, fitness classes, training courses, play sessions, recruitment drop-ins, AGMs and more. It is also a popular venue for children’s birthday parties.

Use of the hall includes chairs, tables, a kitchen with tea & coffee making facilities, cookery equipment and crockery, a full set of plastic reusable party plates / bowls / cups / jugs. There are accessible toilets with baby-changing facilities, and the building benefits from level floor access for wheelchair users. There is good Wi-Fi, a data projector with freestanding projector screen, whiteboards and a flipchart. 

Hiring the hall for public users costs £17.50 per hour or £100 per day. To discuss availability, please email elyscouthall@gmail.com
